Cellar Notes
The harvest has gone very well this year; the fruit is exceptional in quality. The shining stars for the ’07 vintage will be the JOHN CARLO Pinot Noir, the Merlot that is used in our Cosmo and Rodavi blends, and all of our Chardonnay.
Although we have enjoyed beautiful weather of late, it has been a bit too warm for proper fermentation. To ensure the process, we rented a refrigerated trailer to help cool the grape juices. As with all things, Murphy’s Law is in effect.
One can argue that our weather is a result of global warming. No matter what the reason, this year’s harvest is the best in 10 years.
Thank you for spending time with us at Laurello Vineyards.
